I hope you are well. I am in Montreal, Quebec,
Canada and have long curly hair that is tangled and really BADLY matted at the
scalp, which is unfortunately really PULLING AND HURTING my scalp. I was
not able to care for my curly hair properly given that my bathroom ceiling/roof
fell in early February and now my entire home is contaminated with mold

Hi there, I live
in London, and about 6 months ago I got whooping
cough and had it for 3 months, and over that period I
really neglected my hair because I was so ill. It became
incredibly
matted all over my head. Recently
I managed to brush
out the left side by cutting up and through the matts and
then brushing, but I lost a fair bit of length. I'm now
left with a rock hard matted ball on my right side, and I just

I have severe RA which put me in a
wheelchair for over 3 years. After have both knees and hips replaced, I
can now walk somewhat. I had gained a lot of weight while being in the
chair, so I opted
for bariatricsurgery
to help my joints.
Unfortunately, the RA has now jumped
to my shoulders making it very difficult to brush my hair and my hair has
become very fine since the since the surgery. It is now a tight
matted mess! I've tried somedetanglersand conditioners, nothing really
worked. What little bit I've managed to pick out, sleeping on it works it
back in again!
I fear that my once signature "Gibson
Bun" will have to be shaved off and my long time collection of

While Sunbathing
PLEASE,
PLEASE HELP ME! I put
Betadine & Glycerin in my hair while sunbathing. (I have done this
before but, not while in the sun). I scrunched it up on top of my head. In a
panic I made matters worse by putting a hat on my head. I have one massive long
ball like a mo hock on top of my head fused together like cement. My hair
literally looks like it melted together although I can't imagine those two
products melting it. I have tried for days to get it out, using peanut butter,
coconut oil and olive oil. At this point I just want to disappear.

Remover is my final hope before cutting off my precious locks at the
scalp. I can't let people see me like this. Do you think it is possible
that this might work? I took off work two days because I work in a busy office
and really can't go in with a baseball cap without a good excuse.

Thanks for contacting me but it's too late, my hair is no more.
I was hoping that my niece who is a hairdresser would get me out of trouble,
she kept tugging at my hair, it all ripped out. It's horrible.
I feel really upset about the whole thing. I was mentioning this product
to her and she just didn't want to know too much. I was hoping that
my hair she could save but this didn't occur. She didn't cut it ,it was just combed hard until
it tore. My head really hurts as it was painful also. I wish I
had received your reply much earlier before she started. It was like a
birdsnest in a bit tangle that's how best I can describe it and in a big
clump. I didn't photograph it was too upsetting. I would have
purchased the product had I known it was available to purchase and would have
waiting until it arrived if I had received a response earlier but the
time difference between countries is different so that's why it's hard to
get a reply quickly. The worst thing I did was to wash it yesterday which
tightened the hair and matted it even more. She came over at 5 pm my time
and it is now 11.25 pm at night here. It took almost two hours for all
this and at the end I was really upset and still am.
She used olive oil to try and untangle it but that really didn't work just
caused a lot of hair being torn/ripped, well broken. I am really upset
about it. It took me years to grow my hair as it is really fine and it
doesn't grow fast.
I just hope it all grows back but my hair doesn't grow fast at all as
indicated.
Can you let me know what the cost of the product is just in case I need it as
my hair does tangle easily because of it being so fine and how do you order the
product and is it just one item or many?

Hi my name is Kate and I live in Toronto
Ontario Canada. I've been very sick for the past few months now and because of
being so ill, my hair got neglected and I made the biggest mistake by washing my hair which has
created a large, hard matted mess :( its embarrassing and I hate having
to wear something on my head all the time. My health isn't looking so good but
I dont want to look how i feel, i would like to at least feel somewhat normal
and how I looked before. My hair is long but its all stuck to my head so it
looks short and disgusting. My 6 year old daughter says she wants her mommy

Hi, I am lost and don't know what to do. It's a long story but I was in bed for over a year with severe depression and my hair is matted, tangled, knotted....I have tried everything.
I got through my depression, but my hair is bringing me back. It is so bad at this point that I cannot go outside without a hat. I am so embarrassed i sit in the house all day and i can't get a job because of my hair so my husband is paying for everything which makes me more depressed and we are struggling.
I have been literally trying to get the knots out of my hair for months. Water made it worse so now i am afraid to wash it. i ordered the takedown removed cream which helped, but not enough.
Please.....is their anything you can do to help me? I am already considering cancelling the beach trip with my whole family in March, when summer comes i won't be able to wear a hat everyday. My ten year reunion is this year.

Answer…… I just removed a
weave from my hair that I have enjoyed for five months, There was a
tremendous amount of new hair growth. After removing the weave, there was
some dryness and one patch of matted hair - about the size of a quarter.
I saturated my hair with a product called Cactus oil Serum for dry damaged hair
and left it in overnight. Thinking that it was ok, I jumped in the shower
and proceeded to shampoo my hair - which wasn't a problem until I put conditioned on! What a
huge mistake that was! I actually felt my hair tightening up and it
became one HUGE MATTED MESS! Is there any hope or is the barber shop my
only answer!?

Hello I had tangled hair and used hot water and
conditioner to try and untangle my hair, which matted it into big clumps. The clumps are matted pretty
tight and seems impossible to untangle. I really don\'t want to loose my

I Went To A Salon……
Do you have any “Tangled Hair Techs” in the
Indianapolis area? Or anywhere in Indiana, for that matter—I am willing
to travel if it means saving my hair (although I do have financial limitations
to consider)! I have tried detangling this mess myself, and when that
didn’t work, I went to a salon. Well, they couldn’t even undo what has
essentially become one giant dreadlock. I am scared and depressed and
anxious and beginning to feel absolutely hopeless. I don’t want to have
to shave my head, but unless your team can help me, I’m afraid that is my only
option. Please help—I will beg and plead and do whatever it takes!

Hi, I am sure you have recieved similar desperate
calls for help! I have some really BAD knots, no, BALL size tangled knots in my
hair! I had a leg injury and was bedridden fot three months. I have almost
waist lenght hair, I follow the Sufi Path and the hair are a part of my spiritual journey. Needless to say,
I would feel " empty" without them. I could feel them knotting
up under my hairband, I tie a ponytail but though I could be administered bed
sponges, washing hair was not possible. I am better now and decided to take a
proper bath and wash my hair. I googled and found I wud need to use a leqve in detangling
conditioner. I tried in on but had absolutely no effect on the "
balls" of hair. I tried without success and in desperation tried all the
tricks I had read about, literally soaked them in oil, no luck,on top of the
conditioner and oil,I used regular conditioner mixed with hand lotion. They
seemed to bunch up more! And felt even tighter! Went looking for a hair salon
for advise or selevtive trimming to salvage what we could, but its Sunday and
the salons were closed. Last mistake I made was to use conditioner by the
handful and tried washing them hoping that they would have softened up and may
untangle! I know its not advised to use water as they shrink. But I thought if
I leave the conditioner in overnight they may get worse. Is there
any advise you can kindly give me in this regard? I have my hair since 1998,
and have not even had them trimmed for the reasons I mentioned earlier! I am
already in depression thinking what if I have to have them cut! Please

Incident, Heart Stopped & Stroke……
My sister-in-law suffered a choking
incident a few years ago. Her heart stopped several times and she had a stroke
during the incident. She's had a big tangle on the back of her head ever since,
but none of us knew. We just thought she was wearing a bump-it or

The emergency is that her father's funeral

Hello, I would love you to help me. My daughter
(16) has an enormous knot of hair on the back of her head - two tangerine size

old daughter with Autism……
I really hope you can help me, I have a 5 year old daughter who has autism,
from the moment her hair need brushing she hated it, screaming like I have
never heard. We used to brush it and eventually calm her down but once she was
diagnosed we realised there was more to it.
We carried on but then she refused to have
a bath, it took 6 months to get her to get in the bath after that.
Needless to say her hair has suffered
terribly, It has a slight curl to ends but is straight otherwise, it is now

The longer the hair is matted and tangled, it causes headaches from the
pain and weight on the head. It causes frustration, irritation, and low self
esteem.
People are ashamed to go outside of their homes, to work or to even to a salon

wet the hair, this will only cause MORE tangles and breakage.First, SOAK Take Down Remover/Detangler
Cream on the hair and massage deeply.
Next,
add more of Take Down Remover/Detangler Creamto your hair just as you normally would
a conditioner and make sure that your hair is COMPLETELY saturated.
Take a (metal tip) rat tail comb and pick
apart the knots and simultaneously use your fingers tountangle. That will prevent
breakage.Using the Take Down
Remover/Detangler prevents your hair from getting dry; however you should
NEVER wet your hair or shampoo until hair is COMPLETELY TANGLE FREE.

In regards to putting water based products in my hair- like conditioners, I did exactly that thinking that
it would be the best thing for me to untangle my matted hair from all
the videos that I saw on Youtube etc.
I purchased the Knotty Boy
shampoo and conditioner emergency kit and then a detangler cream from the same
line and it actually made my hair tighter and worse than it was prior to using
these products. The hair is in a tight birds nest right now and very hard to
the touch. I know I'm not supposed to wash my hair but it's getting
heavy and itchy with the products still left in my hair. My hair is only matted
on the one side of my head. Are you able to get out very tight matted hair?

Is that good to put on over top of all the stuff I already have in my hair now
or do I have to actually wash everything out of my hair and then apply the TD
