It doesn’t make sense how or why the hair can intertwine to create webs of layers of deep matrices of matted tangled knots. 

There is so much strength in our hair.  Samson was evidence of that.  Our hair has a important function to our body, it’s a part and member of our body.  

One hair strand can speak volumes about the health of the body. Hair is not just for external beauty.   

In fact hair samples do not deteriorate, it is widely used as a proven method in the medical and sports profession for testing.  Hair samples are fast efficient and leads to more accurate results.

Hairs are one of the most important parts of the human body. They are not only a part of the body but they are an essential component in making the appearance more attractive.

Detangling very matted tangled hair is such a strange type of work!

There are many jobs in the world that are so strange-its amazing that our brains can’t even make sense of it.  In fact the bible says that God does strange work- Isaiah 28:21.

Some early medical descriptions of matted hair termed it as a disease of the head or body where hair agglutinated due to a nauseous discharge from the roots of the hair (Beach & Rines, 1904). Schuster (1968), referring to Lefevre, added that plica polonica was a malady changing healthy hair into a foul matted hair forming plaits or twisted strands, alternatively called polish plaits. Referring to Agnes (1952).

Depression can become worse with matted tangled hair. Many people are praying to save their severely tangled matted hair instead of shaving it off.  You may ask why should anyone pray about preserving, saving or protecting their hair?   

Well why not?    We pray about other things.  Who says one thing has more value than another in Gods ears?  Is there a hierarchy of things to pray about or for?  Even Samson prayed for strength one last time after his mistake. 

What does God have to do with my hair. 

There is a whole section of the bible surrounding strength in hair.  God made a vow about hair.  Judges 13-16.  Samson had physical power in him-his hair was his secret.  There are many women in the world with long beautiful hair who might not admit it openly, but their hair is a silent secret to their beauty.  Its apart of their power of self.  People both admire and envy their hair.  It adds to self esteem/identity-which affects our strength and self worth indirectly. 

The Bible says in Philippians 4:6-7.  “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God….And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Sleepless Nights With Hair In bondage

How can an individual keep well when their hair is matted, tangled, filled with hard knots,  pulling on their scalp, causing pain, sadness, depression, and sleepless nights.  

The whole issue makes one feel as if their hair is in prison and bondage.

3 John 2 states that “ Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in every way and that your body may keep well,…..”

Many people ask us what does God and the Bible have to do with detangling hair.  We refer to verses such as Matthew 10:29-32 and Matthew 6:26.  If God cares for the sparrow and the intricacies of their eating and living, why would he not be concerned about you from head to toe!

Psalms 138:8 states that “The Lord will perfect that which concerns me;….forsake not the works of Your own hands.”  

Acts 27:34, Paul was so concerned about the people with him on the boat, he wanted them to be encouraged and strengthened.  He cared for them so much despite the trouble they were going through.  He states that  “ not a HAIR is to perish from the head of any one of you.”
